I wasn't aware that there was going to be a Kennedys mini-series starring Katie Holmes until about 3 minutes ago and it turns out it's been dropped by the History channel. Could you please inform me as to why and your opinion on the matter?

I already made a post which implied that the History channel refuses it as it fell along the lines of an exaggerated drama more than a legitimate history lesson according - and apparently they weren’t the only ones to feel that way as Showtime has apparently also passed on the series. Just watch this trailer, and if you end up feeling God actually exists due to the fact no legitimate television station will host this, then there’s my opinion on it.

"Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures. The courage of life is often a less dramatic spectacle than the courage of a final moment; but it is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy.”

- John F. Kennedy

I hope for an America where neither “fundamentalist” nor “humanist” will be a dirty word, but a fair description of the different ways in which people of good will look at life and into their own souls.

It’s still very early to sift through all of the details, but I am worried that today’s tragic assassination of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tuscon, Arizona is one of the first real casualties of our nation’s awful political climate. I hope that this can be a wake up call to the people and the politicians.

Breaking News of the Day: Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) was killed this morning along with six others outside a Safeway in Tucson during a “Congress on Your Corner” event after being shot point blank in the head. Several others were wounded in the attack.
Giffords, the youngest woman to be elected to the House (30), thus becomes the first female politician to be assassinated, and the first US rep to be killed in the line of duty since Leo Ryan (D-CA), who was shot by the Jonestown cult.
Some are pointing out that Giffords was on Sarah Palin’s gun-sight “hit list” (above), but, though the gunman is reportedly in custody, their motives are not known at this time.
RIP.
